When you run Winpranks, you’ll see a menu that shows various pranks and an explanation of how each one works. The interface is simple; you select a prank, and you can run it on yourself to see if it is what you’re looking for. At anytime during the prank, you can press F6 to return to the main menu, or press F12 to exit the program entirely.
Once you find a computer prank that fits your needs, press “Run Prank Now” and then walk away. All pranks are user sensitive, meaning that even after you run them, they won’t begin until a user gets on the computer and starts moving the mouse, clicking buttons or typing.
Some pranks require that you enter a time. This is where you get to control how long the user (victim) is on the computer before the prank starts up. Other options are also available to customize their experience.
* Cause the mouse pointer to grow slightly every time it’s clicked, or just blow up.
* Force the keyboard to mis-spell every word in any program the user types in.
* Simulate fake viruses, hard drive failures and system crashes.
* Make the CD-Tray open and close over and over, or print strange documents.
* Load a scary face and a loud scream when the user touches anything.
* Pick an embarrassing web page to load that wont close.
* Make the mouse stay in hour glass mode, not move at all, or move randomly.
